NEXT LEVEL STRIDERS TRACK & FIELD
Program Overview:
Welcome to the 2024 Summer Track & Field program! We're thrilled to have your athlete join our community. Our program is for children from 5 to 18 years old.
Here's a glimpse into what we're all about:
At our core, we prioritize comprehensive training for our young athletes. While the word "track" might evoke thoughts of intense running, we emphasize a holistic approach. This includes proper warm-ups, focused stretching and flexibility exercises, efficient recovery between repetitions, attention to nutrition, and thorough cool-down routines. Through this balanced training regimen, coupled with dedicated effort, our athletes consistently achieve personal best in both track events and field disciplines week after week.
While we're undeniably competitive, our focus extends beyond podium finishes. Every time athletes surpass their record, we celebrate their achievements wholeheartedly. It's crucial to us that our athletes feel valued and supported, regardless of their standing. If performance falls short of expectations, we view it as an opportunity for growth, emphasizing our athletes' effort and reassuring them that improvement is inevitable.
Our track program is more than just a sports program; it's a close-knit family. We stand together, supporting one another's endeavors and collectively nurturing our potential as athletes. Your child will not only be a part of a team but also a part of a supportive community that values their growth and development.
(If financial constraints concern your family, but you're eager for your child to participate, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're committed to ensuring that every aspiring runner has the opportunity to thrive, and we'll explore options such as fundraisers and scholarships to make it possible.)
Remember, we never turn a child away. We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all children, regardless of their background or abilities. Your child will be welcomed and supported in our program.

SOME FACTS ON OUR PAST RUNNERS.
In 2015, the track program experienced remarkable growth and success. In our inaugural year, we had 32 participants, with an impressive 28 qualifying for the regional level and 17 making it to the prestigious TAAF State Track Meet in College Station.
In 2016, our program continued to flourish, with 45 registered athletes. We saw 35 qualify for regionals and an outstanding 32 advance to the state level. Notably, we celebrated the achievements of our athletes, including two state champions in the long jump and the mile, a runner-up state champion in the 110 hurdles, and numerous others who secured top-eight finishes statewide. Additionally, four of our athletes earned a spot at the Junior National Olympics, showcasing their dedication and talent.
Continuing our upward trajectory, 2017 saw even greater success. All 49 registrants advanced to regionals, with 35 moving on to the state competition. Once again, we witnessed multiple top-eight finishes, including additional state champions and runners-up.
In 2018, our program continued to thrive with 55 registered participants. 50 qualified for regionals, and 31 earned a place at the state meet. Notably, four of our athletes showcased their skills at the national level.
In 2019, despite a slightly smaller cohort of 40, our success persisted. Thirty of our athletes qualified for the State TAAF Track Meet, where one standout performer achieved top-three finishes in three events. Multiple others secured top-five rankings, while two athletes represented us admirably at the AAU Junior National Olympics.
Fast-forward to 2022, when we celebrated another state champion, this time in the long jump and the 400m dash. With 50 eager participants, we qualified 32 for the Summer Games of Texas State Track Meet.
Our track program offers a diverse array of events, providing ample opportunity for every athlete to excel. From sprints and hurdles to distance races, jumps, and throws, we cater to a wide range of athletic interests. Our events include the 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, 800m, 1600m, 3200m, all relays (subject to qualification), long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, and discus.
